Family Wedding

We went to Indianapolis, Great City by the Way, for my husband's brother's wedding. David our 2 yr old was in the wedding along with my husband Bennett. I am anxiously awaiting the pictures from the photographer, as with 2 small children turns out there are no hands for a camera! Here are a couple of the reception, rehearsal & David Dancing & sleeping. He slept 1st & then was awaken by the Band.

We do have a fantastic video as soon as I can get it converted, may very well qualify for the "Funniest Video Award" as David made it down the ailse but quickly ran back to pick up the rose petals.

It was cold at the zoo!

David refers to the Bonfire as a "fireplace"

We took David to Publix Grocery store, as they were having games and Treats there, We left and happened upon the most wonderful fall festival at a Baptist Church. They had a great Hayride, Bonfire & 2 Jumpies & a big Slide, not to mention Hotdogs! Thank You Concord Grandview Baptist Church! Everyone was INCREDIBLY nice! We had the best time! Then we ran home to get David in the wagon & go to a few neighbors houses & get back home to greet our trick or treaters. We made Popcorn Balls on Friday night & went to the zoo the weekend before for some exhausting fun!

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

David & I baked sugar cookies yesterday, nothing fancy, but after going to the "pumpkin patch" yesterday for a couple of hours he wanted a "pumpkin patch snack" so I grabbed the ready made "pumpkin" sugar cookies out of the refrigerator. Good thing I did not make from scratch as he thought 10 minutes were an eternity to leave them in the oven. He unfortunately can reach everything on the counter & had full access to the cooling rack. He brought me a cookie every time he went & got one. I had to go grab them quick & put them away as we were both eating way too many. Well we started on them again for the afternoon snack today & he keeps handing them to me. He just handed me the last one & looked at me like I was crazy when I said are you sure you want to give me the last one? I did not eat it, I have saved it for him. What a great afternoon smile!

Cameron's Baptism - We traveled all the way to Louisiana to have Cameron Baptized with Family. I respect my husband so much for his love for "Family" including mine & his respect of his religion. His Great Uncle Bishop Houck also traveled far to baptize Cameron. David was also baptized by him 2 years ago. Thank You Uncle Bill. Thanks to my family for traveling to Louisiana to be there for his baptism. Thank you to the Bennett's family for such a nice reception for Cameron.

On the way to buy groceries I started talking to David our 2 yr old about the pumpkin patch & asked if he remembered it from last year. We talked about playing in the maze & picking pumpkins. He of course wanted to go today, I tried to convince him it was not open yet, I told him the pumpkins were not big enough they had to grow a bit more before we could pick them. 2 hours later as we are going to the car to load the groceries, He asked "Are the pumpkins big enough yet?" I am sure we will talk about this for 2 months.

David who is now 2 yrs old & has a fantastic vocabulary told me he wanted some "biting cheese" when I asked him if he wanted more shredded cheese on his pasta, I asked him what is biting cheese? He said it is in the refrigerator, I pulled out the sliced Cheddar Cheese & asked him if this is what he wanted & he said "Yes that's what I am talking about" He needed cheese he could bite into! Now I have to add Biting cheese to the grocery list!

Kiss Me Again Mommy

Words that made my whole day at 3:00 am this morning! David woke up & said his ear was hurting so I climbed in bed with him, which was a huge task climbing over bed rails at almost 9 months pregnant, but I snuggled him & kissed his ear he was already back to sleep & he said a few seconds later "kiss me again mommy". To think I could have missed that moment as until I met my wonderful husband I had not planned on having children. David always says "save me mommy" if he needs help or wants me to pick him up, And then he says "you saved me mommy" What he does not realize is that he saved me! I cannot imagine my life with out David & cannot imagine my life getting any better, but it has to with double the joy I will have with Cameron arriving in a few weeks!

It has been awhile since I have posted anything. We have been so busy! David & I are now into our daily routine together & Love it! He is 2 now & I will post pictures soon of his Birthday.

I have worked on several projects for Shabby Lane Shops, mostly great ads! I did a few designs after I got caught up on all of the deadlines for the ads. Be sure and look for our ads in Romantic Homes April issue, Victoria March/April issue & Tea Time March/April issue.

What a great time! The leaves turned later than usual, so our November trip turned out perfect! David has turned into quite a hiker. He enjoys being outside, he loved collecting leaves and looking for acorns. Once we baby proofed the cabin which had 2 sets of stairs we were set! David even enjoyed swimming in the Hot Tub, we were able to turn the temperature down so it was just like bath water. It was a little cold, we managed to bundle him up in the stroller as we shopped the streets of Gatlinburg. The incredible views were like post cards, we even ended up in Cherokee North Carolina where we found David a Davey Crocket hat, which he loves! We cannot wait to get back there!

We have lived here for years & just found the waterfalls! We took a few hours off to go enjoy the sites & had a great time. Hiking with a 21 month old was challenging, but very fun!
